Barbara is a seasoned film management professional with extensive expertise and experience in film production, people management, production consultation, and organization. Passionate about creating and sharing compelling stories, discovering new talents, and expanding her knowledge, she has contributed to various projects, including feature films, documentaries, TV commercials, short films, and TV series.

Her production credits include “Adire” (Netflix), “Asiri Ade” epic film, both of which earned a Best Lead Actress nomination at AMVCA 2024, “Aki & Pawpaw Reloaded” (Netflix), Red TV’s “The Men’s Club” web series (season 2 & 3) on Amazon Prime Video, and “A Romantic Comedy featuring Lara & Tobi (ARCFLAT)”. She has also produced commercials and docu-series for Lagos State Employment Trust Fund by The Temple company, Lagos Continental Hotel TVC, Collingwood Learning UK’s “Smashed Online” drama, and “Solace-The Movie,” among others. Barbara has also directed her own short film “Èmi: I am my Demon,” which screened at AFRIFF 2022, and recently served as an Associate Producer on “Lots of Sheep Short Film” in the United Kingdom.

 

In addition to her producing roles, Barbara has worked as a Production Manager on various projects such as “Kambili” (Netflix), “Unbroken Series” (African Magic), “Tainted Canvas” on Amazon Prime, “The Men’s Club” (season 1), “SCU: Lasgidi Cops,” “Fractured” (ROK TV), and as a Floor Manager for “The Price is Right Nigeria Premiere.”

As a problem-solving Producer, Line Producer, and management professional, Barbara is dedicated to creating engaging and inspiring content while implementing strategies for exceptional creative competence. She draws inspiration from bold creative collaborations influenced by both indigenous and global content.

 

With a background in theatre, where she excelled as an actor, singer, and dancer across Nigeria, Benin Republic, and the USA, Barbara’s experience in the creative space has shaped her growth and skills, enabling her to relate to all aspects of production.

Barbara has also made significant contributions to the events industry, working on projects such as “Music Meets Runways” and the “Lagos State Food Security Summit.”

She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Creative Arts from the University of Lagos and has received certification from the Producer’s Master Class with Chris Odeh. Barbara firmly believes that good motion content is the most powerful tool for transformation.
